Ohio Health Care Laws
Most laws and regulations related to health care are enforced at the state level, including access to medical marijuana, although the Affordable Care Act (ACA) changed the way insurance is accessed in all states. Ohio has mandatory reporting requirements for child abuse, occupational diseases and other types of communicable diseases, while state law does not permit the withholding of food or medical care for individuals suffering from a terminal illness. Other state health care laws address matters such as access to reproductive health services and power of attorney. Click on a link below to learn more about Ohio health care laws.
