Boulder Courthouses

Last updated: November 7, 2013

Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and home to the University of Colorado, Boulder is a great place to bike, hike, study, and live. Even in this beautiful setting, however, legal issues do arise. When they do, they are generally handled in one of the courts listed below. Whether you have been summoned for jury duty, are bringing your own small claims case, or need to attend a hearing, check out the information we have compiled below to assist you.

  • City of Boulder Municipal Court

    1777 6th Street
    Boulder,
    CO 80302

    Tel: (303) 441-1842

Note: This court handles municipal ordinance violations such as traffic infractions, traffic offenses (inattentive or reckless driving), code violations, and criminal violations. The website provides access to a variety of forms you may need, as well as the option to pay certain tickets on-line. If you have been summoned to jury duty for the municipal court, you can check the website for updated jury reporting instructions -- check the date you have been summoned and the status of the trial to determine whether it has been cancelled, you need to appear, or you need to check back later. Finally, if you have received a Minor in Possession (“MIP”) ticket, check this section of the court’s website for additional information and related links.

  • Boulder County Combined Court
